National Origin Discrimination

Employers are prohibited from discriminating against employees because of their national origin.  National origin includes:

  • Being from a certain country or part of the world;

  • Having ancestors from a certain country or part of the world;

  • Being perceived as being a certain ethnicity, even the employee is not of that ethnicity.

National origin discrimination often, but not always, overlaps with race and/or religious discrimination.

If you believe you have been discriminated against because of your national origin, please contact a Pittsburgh employment lawyer at Elzer Law Firm, LLC for a consultation.
